Fresh Takes - Nutrition Education Series

$149.00

6 Weeks. Real Food. Real Knowledge.

Want to eat more plant-forward but not sure where to begin? Curious about what the food system is actually doing to your health? Ready to cook with intention — without overhauling your life or your budget?

Fresh Takes is for you.

This is a 6-week community education series that connects the dots between what's on your plate, where it came from, and why it matters. We go deep on nutrition — without the guilt, the jargon, or the diet culture. And we ground every lesson in the joy of food: the table, the community, the creativity of cooking something that genuinely nourishes you.

What we'll cover:

  • Week 1 — Eating Styles, Processed Foods & the Get Fresh Daily Approach: Understanding the what and why of whole food, plant-forward eating

  • Week 2 — Healthier Made Simpler: The Fresh Takes Plate and Eating Seasonally

  • Week 3 — Food as Medicine & Healing: Eat the Rainbow, Nutrient Density, and Cultural Food Wisdom

  • Week 4 — Navigating the System: Grocery Store vs Farmers Market shopping and why it makes a difference

  • Week 5 — Understanding the Food System: From Organic to GMO; Predatory Marketing to Food Apartheid — Understanding and Navigating America’s toxic food environment

  • Week 6 — Food Justice in Practice: Being well is a radical act in a system designed to do us harm.

This series is for everyone — whether you're a farmers market regular, a SNAP recipient, or somewhere in between. The food system affects all of us. This knowledge belongs to all of us.

Format: Virtual (live sessions with replay access)
Length: 6 weeks, one session per week, 45–60 minutes each
Next cohort: September 21 – October 26, 2026
Starts the same week as your Fall produce box.
